I said that when they took over £100 million debt was very serious because the value of the club and our income. The same debt now isn't as serious by any means. I don't think we would have trouble spending money now because of that. Do you?

I don't think they are planning on selling even though their futures are obviously limited. DS looks like he doesn't ever sleep and DS has had medical scares but if a Chinaman or Arab comes along waving a £1bn cheque under their noses could anyone blame them for grabbing it...?

You think it's easy getting credit with a company £100m in debt. They are spending around £25m - £30m a year on players most seasons. I've no doubt that given the right opportunity they could rustle up some more money to lend the club. Your comment is so easy to say without the responsibility of having to prove it or even having any idea how it could be done...

Its a total operation to build up and sell at a high value.
They got that stadium for little outlay and they will sell when the big bucks come calling.
Who can blame them ?...we have possibly the greatest marketable asset currently in world football , infrastructure, cost, location.

I was cunted on another thread for saying this. The one thing Calleri does bring is some movement and he looks reasonably tidy. That's not to say Carroll shouldn't play at all but I think he's better as an impact sub or against certain opponents where he can dominate.
Obviously Calleri is unproven at this level so needs to hit the ground running. Not ideal and would be better to have Sakho available to call on as well but fuck knows what is going on there.

When we had this great season last year
we didn't have Fat Sam residue (Carroll
Collins) in the team.
Playing Carroll is a step back as we do lump
it - last Monday we lost possession cheaply
it was a fucking diabolical display against
a team we made look good.
I agree with J Riddle - for us to kick on
we can't have our forward line built around
this oaf of a player.

Our defence just see big Andy waving his hands in the air and lump it up to him and lose possession as he is isolated, comes straight back at us and puts us under pressure. Would prefer Calleri to start with Andy coming off the bench as plan B.

Never seen such a load of hysterical knicker-wetters in one thread before, and that's saying something. Also some very unjustified disrespect for the owners. I agree that Sully shouldn't have mouthed off about a marquee striker but do you genuinely think the offers for Lacazette, Batshuayi and Bacca were not genuine? We could have got Benteke but if Slav doesn't fancy him that's fine by me.
Yes, the performances in the first couple of games have been worrying but it is patently far too early for all this hysteria. It's obvious that if everyone is fit we have improved on last year's squad. We've been unlucky with injuries but we'll get there. FFS, get behind the team, and the club.
And no, I am not in any way related to anyone on the board.
